Heading to Coppers soon? It's going to be even easier to pay for your drinks
Good news for people with no patience as Copper Face Jacks have announced today that they will be introducing contactless card payment on all purchases under €30.
Advancements in technology have fed into our need for instant gratification making modern day life simpler, faster and sometimes better (although that's up for debate).
The change from cash to card is reflective of that need and the introduction of contactless card payment has made it even easier for us to spend.
Which can be good or bad, depending on how disciplined you are... especially when you've had some drinks taken.
Fans of Copper Face Jacks will get to test their spending nerves at the Harcourt Street club soon as it's been announced that they will introduce contactless card payment on all purchases under €30.
So now you won't have to wait for the barman to come back to your with your change or hand you the card reader while get squashed against the bar by other thirsty patrons who are desperately trying to worm their way up to the front.
Head of BOI Payments Acceptance, Barry Gray said: “We are delighted to be now providing contactless payment facilities to Copper Face Jacks."
He added: “For customers, the introduction of contactless payments in Copper Face Jacks will mean faster and more secure transactions, and by extension, less time spent queuing at the bar on a busy night out.”
Now all we need is a way of sending our order to the bar without having to wade through the crowd.
