Don't drink and buy Beyonce tickets... or you'll live to regret it like this unfortunate woman
Alcohol and online purchases are a bad combination.
Spare a thought for this Beyonce fan who learned that lesson the hard way.
South African photographer and mum Tammy decided to buy three tickets for one of Queen Bey's Wembley shows this weekend, at the last minute.
A few drinks had been taken when she purchased the tickets online, at £50 each.
When Sunday came, a very excited Tammy made her way to Wembley for the big event.
But then she realised she'd made a big mistake.
The 34-year-old checked her tickets on the Ticketmaster app before heading into the show, only to discover that she'd purchased ones for Saturday night.
A gig which had taken place 24 hours beforehand.
Taking to Twitter, a gutted Tammy revealed: “On the train to Wembley. Just realised the 3 @Beyonce tickets I bought for tonight were actually for last night. #devastated.”
Empathetic Twitter users were quick to offer their support.
One suggested: “Start a go fund me to get your money back” but Tammy replied that a refund was the last thing on her mind.
She responded: “I don’t want my money back. I just want to see Queen Bey.”
However, she told Buzzfeed that she was touched by the messages of support from the Beyhive.
She explained: “I think a lot of Beyoncé fans on Twitter could relate to me feeling devastated.
“There were the odd people laughing at me, but a lot of people were genuinely devastated for me as well, so that was nice, in a way.”
Luckily Tammy’s day was completely ruined, as her husband came up with an alternative date night.
On Twitter, Tammy revealed: “Update on the situation… My husband sang single ladies to me and we went off to the London Dungeons.”
