Customers in a supermarket were more than a little amused to see a baby moose trotting through the aisles early yesterday morning.
A spokesman for Carrs grocery store in Wasilla, Alaska said that the animal 'departed after approximately 10 minutes.'
One shopper said the moose created quite a stir with people saying:
"I think he's gonna come in! He's coming in."
Ema Rose said that the clever creature used the sensor on the automatic doors to gain entry to the supermarket.
She then began to record the hilarious spectacle on her phone.
An employee can be seen standing in front of the animal, in an attempt to stop him wandering further into the shop.
Mashable reports that Rose described the moose as 'fairly relaxed' and described how the animal 'sniffed Halloween decorations' and even had a nibble on one of them.
“I tried to bang a trash can in order to get him to go away," she said.
Rose estimated that the moose drew a crowd of around 50 spectators as it remained in sitiu for10 minutes before heading off.
Wonder if he picked up a loyalty card?
