Bank robbery stalls as armed raider can't tell the difference between push and pull

David Kearns

A bungling robber who tried to storm a bank needed the help of his accomplice after he seemingly forgot how to open a door.

CCTV footage from the Security National Bank in Omaha in Nebraska shows the armed raider struggling desperately with an unlocked that his female cohort simply walked through.

The robbery was stalled as the hooded female accomplice had to run back to the door to open it.

From the video, it is clear that the armed suspect was pushing when he should have been pulling to open it.

Once in the bungling robber immediately holds a gun aloft and begins waving it and demanding money.

According to Nebraskan police, the pair were handed an “undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the scene in a silver Ford Escape”.

Workers told officers that the man had no problem fleeing the building despite his clumsy entrance, according to reports.
