GDPR implementation expert Lorcan McLoughlin added to DataSec 2017 line-up

Lorcan McLoughlin, a privacy and data protection expert working with Rabobank on GDPR implementation across both Ireland and the EU, is the latest addition to the stellar line-up of speakers who will address the DataSec 2017 conference.

Lorcan is a solicitor and privacy practitioner with extensive experience in both data protection and privacy rights, with experience working for the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner as well as working in privacy and data protection with many financial services organisations.

Lorcan is currently the Privacy Officer for Rabobank in Ireland and also acts as the Deputy Regional Privacy Officer for Rabobank in Europe, where he is currently overseeing the GDPR implementation programme for the Rabobank group of companies.  

Rabobank successfully introduced Binding Corporate Rules in 2016 and the banks business in Ireland is a diversified mix of retail, commercial and corporate banking to the food and agribusiness sector. 

A graduate in Law from Leeds Beckett University, Lorcan also holds an MSc in Business & Finance from University College Dublin. 

Lorcan is an LCOI member of the Association of Compliance Officers and sits on the Banking and Payments Federation Ireland's GDPR working group.

The DataSec 2017 conference takes place on 3rd of May in the RDS in Dublin.
