Emerald de Leeuw, the award winning CEO of EuroComply, has been announced as one of the stellar line-up of expert speakers who will address the DataSec 2017 conference takes place on May 3 in the RDS in Dublin.
Emerald is an internationally recognised Data Protection specialist, a regular speaker at events across the globe, and was recently presented with the European Innovator of the Year 2017 award by the European Commission, Parliament and EYIF in Brussels for her work with EuroComply.
EuroComply is software which helps companies assess assess, track and demonstrate GDPR compliance. 'Accountability' is a core principle of the General Data Projection Regulation, and EuroComply's software gives companies the ability to demonstrate their accountability.
In addition to the comprehensive reporting and training platform, EuroComply leverages the power of data analytics to offer organisation's insights into their privacy programme and allows them to see how it compares to their competitors.
At DataSec 2017 Emerald will deliver a workshop entitled 'GDPR: Compliance is not enough' and will also be part of an expert panel discussing Data Protection, Brexit & Borders.
Emerald holds a Masters of Law (LLM) from University College Cork specialising in E-Law & Intellectual Property Law, as well as an MSc in Business Information systems. She is also a lecturer at the Law Society of Ireland on the Technology Law and Data Protection Courses and is Harvard Law certified in Intellectual Property.
The DataSec 2017 conference takes place on May 3 in the RDS in Dublin.
