Zamano half-year revenue tops €10m, no update on takeover offer

Sales at Irish mobile commerce company Zamano topped €10m in the six months to the end of June, up significantly on the same period last year.
Revenue of €10.4m was up almost 20pc on the €8.7m turnover it reported during corresponding period in 2013.
In the company’s interim half-year results announced this morning the Dublin-based firm said that gross profit for the period was about €2.6m, 8.5pc ahead of the corresponding figure of €2.4m.
Pre-tax profits were about €1.1m compared to just under €1m during the first six months of 2014 while profit after tax rose from €873,000 to just over €1m.
At the start of last month the company received a preliminary takeover offer worth 20 cent per share.
In the interim update the firm that there “continues to be no certainty that any offer will be made nor as to the terms of any offer.”
It added: “Further announcements will be made as appropriate and shareholders are advised to take no action for the time being.”
