Each coin weighs 100 kilograms and is made up of 99.99pc of pure gold.

The coin is decorated by a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt on one side and a hand-polished maple leaf is on the reverse, designed by Stan Witten.

All five coins are currently owned by private collectors with their value not just lying in its gold content but also its rarity.
