Travel firm that brought 'Kimye' to Ireland is open to offers
The owner of the luxury travel firm that recently arranged Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's honeymoon here has confirmed that she is "open to offers" for the firm.
Siobhan Byrne Learat said that she recently turned down a €3m offer that was one of two received this year for the firm, Adams & Butler.
Ms Byrne Learat said: "The business has great potential and I believe that its future value would be around €10m."
Accounts recently filed with the Companies Office show that Adams & Butler Ltd recorded profits of €125,849 last year. Ms Byrne Learat said that the firm recorded revenues of €1.8m last year and is projecting to record revenues of between €2.4m to €2.5m in 2014.
Along with arranging the itinerary of the Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's honeymoon here, Adams & Butler has looked after the needs of Michael Jackson, Taylor Swift and Harrison Ford.
"We have got it right in terms of what we do and we are at the vanguard in what is happening in luxury in the travel industry," Ms Byrne Learat said.
She added that the business is currently "bursting at the seams" recently adding two staff.
She said: "We have been profitable the last number of years and all of our debts are now paid off, but there were years when the business was making a loss. But we have cut back our costs, are pricing better and the business is going from strength to strength."
Ms Byrne Learat said that she is open to offers as she wants to move to Kenya - her husband's native country.
