Making sure your hair is brushed and your clothes are clean some Monday mornings in work can be a task - so this office etiquette may seem a little extreme.
But for female staff at this luxury hotel, anything less than an immaculate presentation is simply unacceptable.
Management at the Dorchester Hotel in London have recently come under fire for their list of grooming rules that staff must adhere to.
A list of what to do - and what not to do - at the five-star accommodation while working has been issued to all female employees.
The women have been instructed to arrive for work with no visible body hair - and shaved legs even if they are wearing tights.
'Bad breath', 'body odour' and 'oily skin' at the £700 a night iconic hotel is forbidden.
The female staff are also required to have regular manicures while in employment at the Dorchester.
* shave your legs (even if wearing tights)
* wear full make-up
* wash your hair
* brush your teeth
* use deodorant
* have regular manicures
* Have oily skin
* Wear overly garish or bright make-up
* Display chipped or bitten nails
* Have off-putting body odour
* Display any excess body hair, which includes the face
"The Dorchester has a proud community of employees who uphold world-leading hospitality standards including grooming, in line with many other luxury brands," General Manager and UK Regional Director, Roland Fasel told independent.ie.
"All new applicants are sent a copy of our grooming standards in advance of interview."
