Frankfurt tops air delays
Travellers are more likely to suffer delays and cancellations at Frankfurt airport than at any other airport in the world, according to a new compensation service for put-out passengers.
Travel refund specialists Refund.me say that in terms of the delay complaints it receives, Manchester, Stansted, Gatwick and Dusseldorf round out the top five.
Cancellations are most common, after Frankfurt, at Franz Joseph Strauss airport in Munich and Charles de Gaulle in Paris, followed by Gatwick.
At the other end of the scale is Tokyo Airport, which is the most on-time major airport in the world according to flightontime.info.
No Irish or British airport makes it into the top five although Munich, despite its poor position when it comes to cancellations, comes second.
