Shares in UK regional airline Flybe began trading on the London stock exchange yesterday, valuing the firm at £215m (€257m). The stock had been priced at £2.95 per share and rose 7pc within an hour of hitting dealers' desks. They eventually closed up 15pc at £3.41.
The flotation of 28pc of the company's shares ends years of speculation over Flybe's intention to float and gives the airline a £60m (€72m) warchest. The flotation price was at the lower end of a £2.85 to £3.85 price range.
