Diner turfed out of restaurant after twirp tweet insults server
GETTING kicked out of a restaurant for behaving badly isn't anything new, but Allison Hiromi has the distinction of being the first person to be asked to leave because of something she tweeted.
Hiromi was in the Down House restaurant in Houston, Texas, on Sunday night and commented on Twitter that the bartender was a 'twerp'.
One of the restaurant managers, who was not working at the time, saw the tweet. He called the restaurant, spoke to Hiromi and asked her to leave, as she described on Twitter.
"Left @DownHouseHTX in tears after GM called up & asked the bartender to hand me the phone. He proceeded to curse a me & ask me to leave. Wow"
The owner of the restaurant, Chris Cusack, has defended the actions of his manager.
"Any business is allowed to set the tone of their establishment," Cusack said. "If you go to someone's house and start calling them names, I wouldn't really expect to stay too much longer after that."
Hiromi, who describes herself as an 'opinionated, extroverted lefty & feisty Gemini' in her Twitter profile, has since tweeted that she will not be returning to the Down House.
"No surprise that @DownHouseHTX blocked and unfollowed me. I will NEVER return to that place as long as Forrest [the manager] still works there."
