'UK elections will not alter plan for the Initial Public Offering of State-backed AIB' - Noonan
Minister for Finance Michael Noonan has said that the UK elections will not alter the Government’s plan for the Initial Public Offering of State-backed AIB.
Speaking at the inauguration of the new Central Bank headquarters in Dublin’s docklands, the Minister said:
“I said there was a number of windows in the course of 2017 and the first window was between mid May and the end of June or the first week in July. That position remains as the first available window.
“It doesn’t change the window because the UK election is in very early June and the window we already identified stretches into July. We haven’t decided on any particular date. What we have said is that there is a window of opportunities for a variety of reasons between mid May and in June and the UK election doesn’t interfere with that window,” Mr Noonan added.
