The exclusive Dromquinna Manor wedding destination in Co Kerry had its "best year yet" as revenues increased by 30pc last year.
That is according to one half of the Brennan brothers' double act, John Brennan, who was commenting on new accounts showing that the business's post-tax profits more than doubled to €171,022 for the year in 2014.
The former co-star of RTE's 'At Your Service', Mr Brennan confirmed that in 2015 his venue hosted 64 weddings - 10 more than in 2014.
Mr Brennan said that the venue, which also offers luxury camping, entertained 18,000 people last year. "This translates into 36,000 bed nights for the town of Kenmare. That is a massive spin-off for the town."
He added: "There are no losers at Dromquinna - only winners on every front. It is a beautiful business plan. It is a gorgeous property and it is three miles from Kenmare. If I opened up a hotel in a traditional sense we wouldn't be doing the business we are doing."
Dromquinna was once on the market for €12m to €15m before its asking price slumped to around €2m and Mr Brennan snapped it up for an undisclosed sum in 2011.
Mr Brennan confirmed that he completed the property's purchase in 2015. Accumulated profits at the Cloud Nine Management Services Ltd rose from €139,989 to €311,011 in 2014.
The business had 72 on the payroll last year.
Mr Brennan said: "The business has taken off and grown rapidly."
