US and European technology companies have announced 335 new jobs here, as the country plays host to 10,000 business leaders at the Dublin Web Summit.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny announced the new jobs, which are at nine companies in Dublin, Cork and Limerick. The jobs are spread across software development, online security, internet and digital media.
The highest number of jobs announced came from AdRoll, a large online advertising platform. It will establish a new European in Dublin, creating 100 jobs.
The Dublin Web Summit is the biggest internet industry conference in Europe and is taking place at the RDS in Dublin on October 30 and 31.
US software firm Nitro will hire 50 staff for a new European headquarters, also in Dublin.
In Cork, disaster recovery firm StorageCraft is opening a new international headquarters with the creation of 30 new jobs in IT support, marketing and human resources. Meanwhile, in Limerick, software firm EtQ is establishing a European headquarters with 30 new jobs.
Other firms announcing new jobs include AerData, Minds and Machines, Pearl Street Enterprises, Clio and Zendesk.

The jobs are seen as a big boost after the Government announced plans to clamp down on some tax avoidance schemes used by multinationals based here in this month’s Budget.
“Ireland remains one of the most exciting places in the world for new digital enterprises. I'm delighted to welcome 335 new jobs in nine companies in the rapidly growing digital sector. As a Government, we are determined to keep building on the 3,000 jobs being created in the private sector each month in order to get people back to work. Through the Action Plan for Jobs, we will continue to provide strong, co-ordinated policy support for measures which attract investment and jobs as well as support for the work of the IDA in targeting high-potential businesses which can be future success stories from an Irish base," Enda Kenny said.
