Twitter customers were unable to access the social media platform this morning.
A number of users turned to the company's Facebook page to voice their frustrations.
The 'downrightnow.com' website indicates that the platform likely experienced a 'service disruption'.
"Twitter may be experiencing issues right now. It's a key indicator of service trouble, so our status information might be temporarily incomplete," reads a statement on the site.
The disruption to Twitter was evident from around 6am to 6.25am this morning.
