Timex has an analogue fitness watch

Timex is getting in on the fitness watch action with its brand new addition, and it's got an analogue watchface

The new fitness watch sports an analogue face, putting in next to the likes of the Withings Activite by presenting a more classic look with integrated fitness tracking features. You get a normal watch dial which tells the time and also a couple of other dials inside it. One can be used to select different modes - tracking steps or distance - and the second tracks your progress to that goal.

There's no official imagery for the new device, which seems like a bit of an error on the part of Timex, but there's definitely some kind of market for a fitness tracker which looks much more like a normal stylish watch, and doesn't have the bulk you sometimes get in smartwatches. That said, the Metropolitan+ doesn't seem like the slickest design we've seen from this sector, especially when you've got competition from the likes of Withings.

We've heard the watch should have a battery life of around a year, so at least that's something.

Expect more news on the Timex Metropolitan+ soon.
