YouTube adds a handy blur tool for videos

Now you can blur out parts of your video on YouTube even after you've finished uploading it - a great addition to the service
It's easy to upload something to YouTube without thinking fully about the ramifications - like leaving in a glimpse at your home address or images of a person who really, really doesn't want their face plastered all over the internet.
Previously, this would require deleting the video, trimming it and reuploading but YouTube had made that much easier with a smart new blur tool which can be added at any time. You simply draw a box and the element is obscured and the technology is smart enough that it can even track a subject as it moves so you won't get yourself into any trouble.
Here's how it works.
This is a positive move for privacy and also security, especially in the case of people who could potentially come to harm for speaking out. The tool looks like its easy to use and, best of all, it doesn't require taking down the original content so you can be free to share whatever you want on the massive video platform.
The feature should be available on YouTube now.
