Eager Dark Souls fans can get their hands on Dark Souls 3 right now, rather than waiting for its international release, but you have to jump through hoops to get it.

The game has been released in Japan, but not in the west. However, NeoGAF user has found a way for Xbox One owners to be able to buy and download it.

To purchase the game, you must make a Japanese account with an address in Japan. A McDonald's in Osaka has become "home" to many western Dark Souls players. Then you'll need to purchase Xbox Store credit in Yen and purchase the game. Now set your console's region to where you live and download the game.

If you purchase the game on PS4, you'll have to play the game in its native language, which could make things tricky.

Bandai Namco or Microsoft could close off this loophole, so it's not a guarantee. Plus, multiplayer components won't be enabled on this side of the world until launch, so you could be making the game more difficult for yourself. And finally, you won't be able to download the inevitable day one patch, which will tune things up.

If you don't want to go through this ordeal, Dark Souls 3 will be released officially on April 12th.
