World of Warcraft is set to get an all new expansion after twelve years in the form of new content called Legion
Blizzard changed the world back in 2004 with the lanch of World of Warcraft, and it's not going anywhere yet.
The massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) set in their fabled Warcraft universe debuted in 2004 and at its peak hosted more than 12 million players. Less than half of that number regular logs in these days, but its still enough for there to be more content on the way.
Legion will be the sixth major content pack for World of Warcraft, which will bring along a new playable class (the Demon Hunter), new weapons and an extra continent called Broken Isles. Naturally enough, Blizzard marked the news with a stunning CGI trailer.
Well they certainly have some of the best art direction in the business, though of course the game isn't going to look anything like that. Blizzard has confirmed that the update will be available on the 30th of August 2016 and you can pre-order the game right now, and also pay a little extra for digital goodies and a little more for physical stuff like books and behind the scenes making of.
