Americans will be sitting down to their Thanksgiving feasts later today before preparing themselves mentally and physically for the Black Friday shopping trip tomorrow. We’re starting to embrace the idea of Black Friday. In fact, it’s estimated that €109 million will be spent in Ireland during Black Friday, up a third on last year.

There are some great bargains to be found on Black Friday with retailers slashing prices and offering special deals for a limited time only. Here are some of the best retail stores to find discounts on Black Friday. Just try not to be like these people and stay safe if you are heading to shops to avail of discounts.

No matter what you’re looking for, there’s a good chance you’ll find it on Amazon. The online retailer is currently running its biggest ever Black Friday deals week with 50% off thousands of deals. And if you can’t find something you’re interested in, check back every 10 minutes as new deals crop up.

Harvey Norman:

Typically, when you see videos of Black Friday, customers are dashing for electronic goods like TVs and tablets. Harvey Norman has some seriously impressive deals with up to 40% off some TVs and 25% off some tablets and laptops. There are also discounts on general household items like kitchen appliances, furniture, beds, and more.

Currys PC World:

Currys PC World has been running a 10 day Black Friday event with deals on smartwatches, portable speakers, software, and more. But the best is yet to come, according to the retailer. Apparently it’s saving the best till last. The best deals with discounts on TVs, kitchen accessories, and more will be found in-store on Black Friday itself.

Carphone Warehouse:

Carphone Warehouse appears to be taking Black Friday pretty seriously. Its Black Tag deals means that you can get up to half price off pre-paid smartphones, up to 20% off bill pay smartphones, up to 60% off accessories, and find “better than half price” deals on select TVs, tablets, wearable, and consoles.

Proving that it’s more than just a place to get own-brand cereal and sweets, Lidl has a few special offers up its sleeves for Black Friday. The Canon PowerShot SX530 HS will retail for €299.99, there’s a 32” Samsung TV for €269.99, and there’s €80 off a Toshiba Cloudbook.

You won’t have to brave the crowds to get deals, but you will have to act fast. eBay’s Black Friday sale promises to be popular with savings to be found on a range of electronics, including tablets, cameras, smartwatches, headphones, laptops, MP3 players, and much more.
