Watch the full first hour of Far Cry Primal

Far Cry Primal doesn't launch til next week but you can get eyes on with its first 60 minutes in this gameplay footage
We love a bit of Far Cry 'round these parts and after the excess of parts three and four, Primal is looking like another fun entry in the rather chaotic series. It takes you back to prehistoric times as a caveman who loses his tribe and has to rebuild - if he can manage to not get eaten by a sabretooth tiger in the meantime.
What we've seen to date looks big and gorgeous and silly and all the things we've come to expect from the franchise but if you were looking for a lengthier slice of gameplay to give you an idea of whether it was an essential purchase next week then this video is for you. In the first of a series, YouTuber NukemDukem has taken it upon himself to play hour long chunks of the game for your education and amusement.
This first video starts by showing off the menus and controls and all the other essentials before diving into the opening cutscene, and we really like how that starts. Needless to say if you've already decided to buy and want to experience these moments for yourself then don't watch the below.
There are certainly elements here which are familar from the last couple of entries in the series but the setting and location makes for a completely different experience, not to mention the total lack of guns which is enough to make us very interested.
Far Cry Primal is out on PS4, Xbox One and PC on the 23rd of February 2016.
