Watch Intel set a Guinness World Record with drones

Emma Clark

Intel claimed a Guinness World Record after one hundred drones took to the skies over Germany, controlled by PCs running Intel software.

Intel has a Guinness World Record to its name thanks to a fabulous drone display in the skies over Flugplatz Ahrenlohe, Tornesch, Germany.

One hundred drones were sent skyward, controlled by a team on the ground using PCs with Intel software. They flew in formation and entertained bystanders with a spectacular light show set to Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony.

If CES was anything to go by, drones will be a more common sight this year as interest grows in the nifty devices.

Check out the light show and fireworks display in the video below from Guinness World Records.
