Star Wars The Force Awakens is filled with amazing visual moments but which were real and which others were effects - break them down here
JJ Abrams' The Force Awakens was quite the spectacular film and has also become a king at the box office but you have to wonder how something like that is put together. How much of BB-8 was real, as an actual puppet did exist? And how much of the Falcon was there for the cast to interact with.
If you're ever wondered about any of these questions, we've found a great video online which delves into the biggest and smallest scenes and breaks down exactly what was on the set and what was added later. FX Guide TV popped out to ILM in San Francisco to go through some of their favourite or most impressive shots. Watch the documentary and interviews below.
It's a bit of a technical chat but you get an idea of the huge amount of work which goes into every frame, and this talk is primarily around CG additions and doesn't include the massed ranks of physical alien designs which appeared in the background or the work by the actors themselves to sell this galaxy far, far away.
And we just know that somewhere else in that building, there's a team of people who have already started the effects work for Rogue One and beyond - we can't wait to see where they take us next.
Star Wars Rogue One is set for release in December 2016, Star Wars Episode VIII follows in December 2017.
