Watch 90 minutes of Uncharted 4 multiplayer footage
Uncharted fans will soon be able to play Uncharted 4's multiplayer beta, but Naughty Dog showed the mode off in a 90 minute live stream last night.
Naughty Dog ran a lengthy live stream last night to announce details of Uncharted 4’s multiplayer and the upcoming multiplayer beta.
It certainly looks fun, though those who have delved into the series’ multiplayer in the past won’t be too surprised by what’s been shown off so far.
There are some new additions though. Uncharted 4’s multiplayer adds two mysticals, which are basically power-ups drawing from the mythology of the series so far. The Staff of Ayar Manco reveals enemy locations by emitting a pulse every so often, while Indra’s Eternity launches a dagger that slows down enemies within its radius.
We also got a look at some of the customisation options available. Players will occasionally receive chests, which contain randomised items. If there is a particular item that you’ve been hoping for, you can also buy it with Uncharted points.
As you play, you’ll earn cash that you can then use for buying items and weapons. Interestingly, if players buy the same things over and over again, they’ll increase in price. So you’ll either have to get rich or die trying, expand your arsenal, or simply not die.
The Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta kicks off on December 4th and runs until December 14th. It will feature a single mode with matches lasting 12 minutes. And, as you’d expect, the progress you earn in the beta won’t carry over to the final game.
