Ubisoft released a 10 minute video showcasing various gameplay details from Far Cry Primal, including the taming of animals and outpost clearing.

Ubisoft released 10 minutes of gameplay footage from the upcoming Far Cry Primal.

As you can see, Primal has a very different setting than previous Far Cry titles. This time, players will embark on an adventure set in the Stone Age. That means that things will be very different; there will be no guns or cars, yet wild beasts still intend to chew on you.

But you'll also be able to tame wild animals, which is a novel touch. You'll be able to call upon different animals depending on the situation you find yourself in. There are some familiar elements too, such as the task of taking down enemy outposts. You'll also be finding points to use for Fast Travel, but you don't seem to have to scale towering structures this time around. It's definitely a Far Cry game at its core.

Creative Director Jean-Christophe Guyot and Creative Director at Ubisoft Toronto Maxime Beland talk over the gameplay footage, giving you insights into the world, the various mechanics, and other key details.

Far Cry Primal will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in February, 2016.
