Uncharted 4 is likely the end for Drake

Nathan Drake isn't too likely to continue on from the events of Uncharted 4, according to the folks at naughty Dog
As if the title wasn't giveaway enough, Naughty Dog is making it pretty clear that Nathan Drake may not be back after Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.
Of course that doesn't necessarily mean Drake himself will perish (there's no shortage of thieves in the series) but creative director Neil Druckmann has been chatting about the difficulty of continuing the adventures of the character after the events of the upcoming game. Speaking to The Sun he had this to say:
"He’s at the height of his popularity, so it’s not a good business decision. But I feel like the best way to honour him is to go out on top, to finish his story... But with the end of this story, it will be really hard to do a sequel with Nathan Drake."
Naughty Dog has said that they are finished with the series after this entry but of course it could be taken up by another studio with Sony. That said, it seems they're going to be finishing on a drastic enough note to make it difficult to have Drake involved in any meaningful way.
We're going to go ahead and guess that the company isn't going to kill off one of the most beloved video game characters around, especially as he makes his PS4 console debut, but that doesn't mean some heartstrings won't be pulled along the way.
Uncharted 4 launches on the PS4 on the 26th of April 2016.
