Google's free and open document maker has a new feature which is great for dictation and those who find typing difficult
Google has a huge range of productivity products which are often free and easy to use, and one of them just got better.
Google Docs is just one of them, offering a totally free word processor which you can use to sync to Google Drive for cloud storage as you work. Now it features full voice typing with an easy system that's similar to Google Now and the latest update has added the ability to edit and format as you go, using just your voice!
It's simple to start and you can get an idea of the tools available in this video.
We gave the typing a go and it's fairly accurate, though you'll want to make sure you're in a quiet enviroment and that you speak relatively slowly and carefully. It's an excellent way to get your thoughts out on paper in a rush, and you can go back afterwards to fix things up. This feature is available no in Google docs under tools.
