So what are you going to do with your virtual reality headset? Blast off into the blackness of space? Explore the depths of the ocean floor? Shoot exotic enemies from afar with pinpoint accuracy? Or are you going on a jaunt to an IKEA kitchen to make some meatballs?

The possibilities of virtual reality are pretty much endless, which makes it all the more amusing IKEA produced this VR experience which lets you wander around inside a kitchen comprised of their stuff, cooking their food. Here's how it goes.

It's a pretty weird concept but also kind of genius as it lets you peer around at actual IKEA furnishings without having to go to one of their cavernous stores. It's easy to see the application of this software as a way to get an idea of what it might look like in your home, especially with the ability to move around a space using the HTC Vive, and its external camera.
