Hardcore Henry is a film which was shot from the first person using a special GoPro head rig and it looks insane

Hardcore Henry is a film you may not have heard of but action fans will want to sit up and take notice. Here's a taste in the latest TV spot.

Yikes!

This whole film unfolds from a first person view and is made to look like its one long take. It isn't of course but that movie magic makes for what looks to be one of the most kick-ass action films ever made. It's the work of Russian filmmaker Ilya Naishuller with some help from Timur Bekmambetov - the guy responsible for the mayhem of Wanted and Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter.

The film was shot back in 2014 using a special rig which housed two GoPro cameras, designed to give a natural field of view. And then Ilya and his crew created some of the most insane stunts you've ever heard of, and threw them all together into one insane film. The project started out on IndieGoGo almost 18 months ago to get a little more funding to finish off effects and later went on to be sold to STX Entertainment for a pretty staggering $10 million.

The upside for all of us is that we're definitely going to be seeing it in cinemas, with a worldwide release set for April 2016.
