The Witcher 2 gets Xbox One backwards compatibility - And it's free!

The Witcher 2 is one of the games to get Xbox One backwards compatibility...and it'll be free in certain regions.
Ten new games have been added to Xbox One's backwards compatibility programme, including The Witcher 2.
The most interesting part about this announcement is that The Witcher 2 will be available for free in the US, Canada, France, Germany and UK.
While it's a decent list, there are notable omissions from the most wanted list on Microsoft's Xbox feedback site. Then again, Microsoft needs developers to play ball too, so it's somewhat unclear where the blame lies for certain games being missing.
Xbox One owners are naturally eagerly awaiting the announcement that Red Dead Redemption or the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series are getting backwards compatibility.
Here's the list of the latest games to get backwards compatibility:
- Aegis Wing
- Age of Booty
- Counter-Strike: GO
- Jeremy McGrath's Offroad
- Sam & Max Save the World
- Small Arms
- Space Giraffe
- The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings
