That Dragon Cancer released to commemorate Joel Green's birthday
Point-and-click adventure That Dragon, Cancer has been released on Steam tody to commemorate Joel Green's birthday.
Have the tissues ready. That Dragon, Cancer has been released today to coincide with Joel Green’s birthday.
The point-and-click adventure charts Joel’s four-year battle with cancer, from his diagnosis at just 12 months old to his death in March, 2014. The Steam page describes That Dragon, Cancer as “two hours of poetic, imaginative gameplay that explores themes of faith, hope and love.”
Despite that description, we expect it’ll be an emotional journey.
Joel’s parents, Ryan and Amy, have also decided to declare today a world-wide pancake party. In a thoughtful and open blog post, they wrote, “He would have turned seven this year, and photos of people all over the world eating pancakes in his honor would be a pretty great present to our family, who still miss him and his sticky syrup face. While you’re eating pancakes, and taking photos and posting online, share about someone you love and miss and wish you could have known just a little better.”
That Dragon, Cancer is now available on Steam.
