Telltale Games revealed in December that it would be developing an episodic series based on Batman. The developer has since shared more details about the series and how it will play out.

Batman will use a comic art style, similar to The Wolf Among Us, and has been developed using a “very upgraded” version of the game engine that Telltale has utilised for previous games. As is typical for a Telltale Games series, the story will be told over five episodes.

Telltale revealed that the game will feature more of Bruce Wayne than other Batman games, and some scenes will allow the player to choose between appearing as Bruce or Batman. Players will be able to choose how they handle conflict and Telltale revealed that players will have lots of power, as both Batman and Bruce, to shape what the city looks like, who your friends are, and more.

It’s yet to be revealed what villains will make an appearance. Fans will, of course, have a wishlist.

The first episode of the Batman series is expected to arrive this summer.
