Star Wars Battlefront DLC detailed
DICE unveiled the Star Wars Battlefront Season Pass and free DLC that is planned in the coming months. The DLC will include new maps, features, and more.
When DICE said that there would be no Star Wars Battlefront DLC linked to The Force Awakens, many wondered what it did have planned. Today, DICE revealed the dates and details for four expansions as well as the free content that will be released between now and March.
The Season Pass DLC will include classic locations such as Jabba’s palace on Tatooine, the Cloud City of Bespin, and the Death Star. Each expansion will also be available individually.
Expansion Pack details:
- Outer Rim (March 2016) - Fight among the factories of Sullust and battle within Jabba the Hutt's palace on Tatooine
- Bespin (Summer 2016) - It's hunt or be hunted in this action-packed experience set in the Cloud City of Bespin
- Death Star (Fall 2016) – That’s no moon! One of the most iconic locations in the Star Wars universe makes its debut in Star Wars Battlefront.
- Expansion Pack 4 – Title TBA (Early 2017)
All Star Wars Battlefront players will also get access to more free content today. The content will broaden the scope of the Tatooine Survival map to support a range of multiplayer modes, add new Hoth-themed outfits for Luke Skywalker and Han Solo, introduce daily challenges and community events, and add the ability to create private matches.
The February update will include a new Survival mission on Hoth, and a Hoth-themed multiplayer map, and the new Turning Point mode will be available on all maps that support Walker Assault and Supremacy.
Finally, March’s update will see the addition of a new multiplayer map on Endor that will support Walker Assault, Supremacy, and Turning Point, and another Tatooine Survival map.
