Sony reveals PlayStation VR specs
The PlayStation VR headset is becoming less of a mystery. Sony released a promo video that details the PlayStation VR's specs and shows off the headset.
Sony has released a promo video for the PlayStation VR headset, which details the final specs list and gives us a good look at it in action.
The PlayStation VR will feature a 5.7-inch OLED display with a "1920xRGBx1080" resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate with under 18ms latency.
It will boast a field-of-view of around 100-degrees, an accelerometer and gyroscope, positional tracking with nine LEDs, 3D audio, as well as HDMI and USB interfaces.
One aspect of virtual reality that people are worried about is that it's believed to be a solitary experience. Sony says that this isn't the case here as "gameplay is output to both the VR headset and TV." This means that bystanders will be able to watch you play and see through your eyes.
It's not quite the same as how we interact now, but it's better than nothing.
Sony is yet to say how much the headset will cost or when it will be released. Its only indication thus far is that it will be released in the first half of 2016.
