2015's PlayStation 4 line-up of first-party titles were not as strong as Sony would have liked, but next year looks much better.
The PlayStation 4's line-up of first-party titles this year was "not as strong" as the company would have liked, according to Sony Computer Entertainment Australia's managing director, Michael Ephraim.
But things look much better next year. Ephraim said, "Next year, our first party lineup looks incredible," highlighting games like Uncharted 4, The Last Guardian, Gran Turismo, Street Fighter V, and No Man's Sky.
Heading into Christmas, he's confident that the PlayStation 4 will do well. "Games that have been released this year, from Destiny [The Taken King], Call of Duty, Star Wars -- most of them we have a collaboration with for additional content if you play on PlayStation 4, so we're pretty confident with the way Christmas is going."
"We have worked very closely with third parties this year because our first party lineup was not as a strong as we would have liked."
Sony Computer Entertainment president Andrew House also admitted earlier this year that the PlayStation 4's first-party line-up "is a little sparse this year."
But that hasn't hampered sales of the console, which surpassed 30 million units last month.
