Game of Thrones is almost back for season 6 and if you've been missing Westeros you can dive back in with this 360 video

Game of Thrones is almost back for another season of bonking and bloodshed, and it's likely to be the most epic yet as those White Walkers finally get involved in the future of the realm.

If you've been pining for some extra time in Westeros we've got you covered with a new video which has been released. This 360 degree interactive video allows you to peek around inside the fancy title sequence for HBO's runaway hit. It's a great CG sequence with clockwork elements which serves the dual purpose of keeping the geography of the realm in our minds and also symbolising the movements and machinations behind the constantly shifting alliances and characters.

The video posted to Facebook lets you move your move around inside the frame to look in different directions. Check it out.

Honestly, the tech doesn't seem to be quite there - with very choppy playback on our end. There's also a limit to how much freedom you actually have to look around, presumably because all angles of the sequence aren't entirely rendered. Still it's another tiny glimpse at the way in which entertainment is moving, and surely it's only a matter of time before major shows are being produced with live interactive elements.

Game of Thrones returns on the 24th of April 2016.
