The much requested game from Rockstar studios appeared on xbox one via backwards compatability for a short while yesterday

Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption might be the best wild west game ever made, and we've been waiting for a sequel almost six years ago in May 2010. That may not be on the cards but playing it your Xbox One isn't outside the realms of possibility.

A bug over the weekend allowed some players to download a new version of the game which works through Microsoft's backwards compatability system. This was if you previously owned a copy of the game on Xbox 360 and had a friend who was 'following' the title. The workaround meant many people managed to download and play Red Dead, which seems to work just fine on the new hardware.

People also glimpsed copies of Alan Wake's American Nightmare, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Left 4 Dead 2, Halo Wars, and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 - suggesting all of them will be making their way into the programe in the very near future. So dig out those old copies folks!
