A Rainbow Six Siege patch is now available that will auto-kick players who intentionally kill members of their own team.

An update for Rainbow Six Siege has been released that will lay the smackdown on those who kill fellow team members.

In the patch notes, Ubisoft says that there is a set of parameters that will result in a teamkiller being kicked automatically. It wrote, "We are trying our best to make the distinction between accidental team killing and intentional team killing. Same goes for intentional hostage killing while playing as Defender."

Ubisoft revealed that 1.3% of matches featured intentional team killing at the beginning of the open beta, though this rose to 7.8% by the end. Since launch, the figure stands at around 1.8%, but Ubisoft maintains that this is still an issue.

The update also introduces some ranked matchmaking improvements, hit registration improvements, and some small fixes. Finally, the changes to playlists outlined earlier this month are now implemented.
