Rainbow Six Siege's last-minute beta was postponed because of matchmaking and connectivity issues. But Ubisoft maintains these issues won't affect launch.
Just a week before launch, Ubisoft was to run another beta for Rainbow Six Siege, but it was postponed because of issues with matchmaking times and disconnections.
Community manager Jax informed fans in a forum post that "Game sessions are not starting properly and we've encountered server issues, leading to failed connections.” The issue was noticed because it was brought about as a result of fixing something else.
“We've identified the root issue that was introduced after the Technical Test while fixing a separate aspect of the game. A fix is currently under test and will be deployed within the next few hours,” Jax wrote.
Ubisoft reassured fans that that the launch “will not be impacted by this issue." It reminded players that betas are run to “find problems and troubleshoot them to ensure the most stable launch possible.”
“We are confident the game will work as intended since the known issue will be fixed soon,” Ubisoft concluded.
