Quantum Break may get no DLC
Quantum Beak is getting close to launch and looking more gorgeous than ever, so naturally its time for Remedy to think about the future
The team behind Max Payne and Alan Wake is set to lanch their new title, Quantum Break, in a few short weeks. It's about a young man who finds that he has power over time itself, and is forced to use those skills to fight back against an evil sort played by Littlefinger off Game of Thrones.
Quantum Break has been a long time coming and we're looking forward to finally get hands on with the title but for the developers who are kicking off interviews they're inevitably going to be asked about plans for future content. And the answer is - they don't have any.
Remedy's Thomas Puha was chatting to RedBull Games and had this to say on the plan for Quantum Break: "We are very happy with what we are shipping, but there have definitely been challenges along the way. We don’t have any DLC plans, but that’s not to say we don’t have plenty of ideas for the future of Quantum Break."
That's a pretty refreshing line in a world where most games come with pre-packaged and expensive season passes, sometimes including content which really should have been in the main game from the start. The other element is that it sounds like the company could well be open to working on a sequel, though that will depend on just how well this game does first.
Quantum Break is out on Xbox One and PC from the 5th of April 2016.
