Project CARS GOTY Edition takes to the grid this spring
Bandai Namco confirmed that Project CARS will be getting a Game of the Year Edition, featuring all previously released DLC. It will be released this spring.
Project CARS’ Game of the Year Edition will be coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One this spring, according to Bandai Namco.
The Game of the Year Edition includes all previously released DLC, which means you’ll get access to more than 50 new cars, bringing the total to 125; 4 tracks; more than 60 liveries created by the community; and more than 500 features and improvements that have been added since the release of the game last May.
It also includes the iconic Nürburgring Combined Nordschleife+ GP circuit, as well as the recently announced Zonda Revolucion, and Huayra BC from Pagani Automobili. These will be available to owners of the original game, though a price is yet to be announced.
The crowdfunding campaign for Project CARS allowed fans and players to test the game and provide the team with feedback and guidance. Slightly Mad studio head Ian Bell said that Project CARS was “the ultimate culmination of our own experience making accomplished racing games for over a decade, along with invaluable input from real-world racing drivers who gave us unprecedented insight into the motorsports world, and the wishes and desires of the racing community.”
Project CARS is getting a sequel, though a release window is to be confirmed. Like the original, it will be crowdfunded.
