Netflix may be winning in the volume game but Amazon is doing a great job at focussing on quality when it comes to the video streaming war.

They recently snapped up Golden Globes for Mozart in the Jungle and achieved acclaim for the likes of Transparent and The Man in the High Castle. Hot on the heels of securing the latest Woody Alen picure, the company has now revealed it's set to work with none other than Joseph Gordon-Levitt on his new project.

JGL (as he's probably not known to his friends) is an all round whizkid - an actor of serious range who has also been developing creative projects on the side for years under his HitRecord name and also directed his first feature, Don Jon, a couple of years back. Now he's teamed up with Amazon for a new film called K Troop.

It's about the Ku Klux Klan and the special US military divison which was formed to battle it. JGL would produce, with Amazon releasing the film, and might also direct. This one could take a while to come to fruition but we're expecting it will be worth the wait.
