Uncharted 4 A Thiefs End was almost in our grasp but now the game has been yanked from our clutches at the last possible second
Uncharted 4 A Thief's End was getting so close we could almost smell it, with an end of April release date rapidly approaching. Now that date has moved yet again.
The game now won't bow until the 10th of May 2016, another two week delay. If you remember, Uncharted 4 was originally set to arrive in late 2015 so this is just the latest disappointment for rapid fans waiting to find out the fate of their favouite digital adventurer. The reason for the delay comes straight from the developer, and is all about making sure everyone has the same experience on launch day. According to Shawn Layden the President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America, this is what gives:
"In an effort to meet the considerable worldwide demand, and to ensure that all gamers worldwide have the opportunity to play the game on day one, we have chosen to postpone the launch of the game by two weeks to allow for extra manufacturing time."
It sounds like they've had an issue with their manufacturing and don't want a shortage which might effect sales. He goes on to say that the game is phenomenal, but then he would, wouldn't he. The once piece of good news is that Naughty Dog has finally confirmed the open beta for the multiplayer portion of the game which runs from the 4th to the 7th of March. You can download the client right now and help them fine tune the competitive mode.
Once again, Uncharted 4 now launches on PS4 on the 10th to May 2016.
