A new update for Need for Speed hits the streets today with new car parts, decals, achievements, and the return of two familiar foes.
Need for Speed is getting another update today that adds a host of new features, tweaks some things such as the endless phone calls, and sees the return of some familiar faces.
Eddie and Melissa, of Need for Speed: Underground fame, are coming to Ventura Bay looking to take on select racers. Rep is what qualifies you to take on the duo, and those who have been spending hours racing around the streets will be glad to hear that the maximum REP level is upped to 70.
The update adds a ton of new car parts, more than 20 iconic wraps, new music, a new type of collectibles for when you’re roaming the streets, three new achievements based on this update, and a variety of new daily challenges.
Ghost Games has also “squished a number of bugs and made improvements across a variety of areas, including AI.” And, according to the blog post, the telephone system has been looked at. EA’s Ben Walke writes, “We have made a number of improvements to the phone system in general, including an option to mute phone calls entirely.”
