New Zealand's Transport Authority has released a genius road safety ad that shows a way to deter drivers from texting while driving.
Road safety groups have tried a variety of ways to inform drivers about the dangers of reaching for their phone, but this ad may provide the perfect deterrent.
The New Zealand Transport Agency released a road safety ad that shows how everyone can play their part. If you’re in the front seat and your friend reaches for their phone, just make it really awkward and hold their hand gently.
The campaign features the tagline, “Put me first, drive phone free,” and sees a number of passengers intercepting as the driver goes to check their phone. How lovely.
We can see many passengers trying this and remember, the weirder you can make it, the better!
