Minecraft in Unreal 4 is stunning

Minecraft has its own kind of unique beauty but this latest graphics project shows off what is possible in the Unreal 4 engine
Minecraft is a unique game with its own kind of beauty in the scale of the world and the things which creative folks can accomplish and many, many hours of putting blocks on other blocks. But it could look oh-so-much better, like in this version created in the Unreal 4 engine.
Just look at the lens flare, or the motion blur, the soft fade of the world off into the mists of the near distance. It's just a little bit lovely. This was all put together by a fellow named John Alcatraz using assets that are freely available online. He wanted to put together a voxel-based project and Minecraft was an obvious contender, with the pack moving closer and closer to Mojangs original over time.
You can dig and grab the materials that are left behind, and even do some basic building but there's no crafting or anything else at that advanced level. Still it actually works, which is more than can be said for most UE4 demos. You can even download the full code here.
