Mass Effect Andromeda director leaves BioWare
Mass Effect Andromeda director Chris Wynn has announced that he is leaving BioWare, though no reason for his departure was given.
Mass Effect Andromeda director Chris Wynn is leaving BioWare, though development of the game is ongoing.
He took to Twitter to break the news. "It is with a heavy heart today to say that I am moving on from BioWare and Mass Effect: Andromeda, and returning to the USA," he wrote.
BioWare later released a statement to Game Informer concerning Wynn's departure. "Chris was a great member of the team. We want to thank him for his contributions and we wish him the best in his new adventures. Development of Mass Effect Andromeda continues to move full speed ahead at BioWare Montreal, Edmonton and Austin."
It's unclear why Wynn is leaving, so it wouldn't be wise to jump to conclusions until the facts are in. All we know for certain is that development is continuing as planned.
Mass Effect Andromeda is slated for a holiday 2016 release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
