The LG G5 looks like it'll be a powerful device with a recent benchmark test giving us an idea of how it'll compare to the Galaxy S7.

The LG G5 has been put through its paces by Geekbench and it looks like it's packing plenty of power.

According to the listing, the LG G5 will feature a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM, and runs Android 6.0.1, but expect to see LG's UI laid over this.

The benchmark indicates that the handset will have high-end specs, but it scored 5061 in a multi-core benchmark. That beats the Galaxy S7, which recently scored 4979 in the same benchmark. The Galaxy S7 comes out on top with a single-core score of 2282 compared to the G5's 2248.

The LG G5 is also tipped to feature an always-on display that lets you check the time and notifications without turning on the screen, a metal body, a fingerprint scanner, and a dual-lens camera.

Expect to hear more about the LG G5 at MWC 2016.
